Reality TV star Stephen Bear jailed for breaching sex-offender register after Brazil trip

At Thames Magistrates' Court, Stephen Bear pleaded guilty to five offences for not informing police about a trip to Brazil, contravening the conditions of his 2023 placement on the sex-offender register. Prosecutor Maisa Mamman highlighted his social-media posts that flaunted his presence on a Brazilian beach and his failure to report a new passport and bank cards within three days of returning to the UK. Bear, already serving time for a prior breach of a restraining order that barred him from posting about ex-partner Georgia Harrison, had previously been jailed for sharing a private video of her on OnlyFans and WhatsApp.

Deputy district judge Claire Pithie ordered a 24-week custodial term, emphasizing the need for him to change his approach to avoid further legal trouble, especially as he expects a child soon. The sentencing follows his earlier release after serving half of a 21-month term for the original video-sharing offence. His case underscores the strict enforcement of registration and restraining-order rules for convicted offenders.
