Vivartia Holding announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell its Evergood unit, which operates the Goody’s Burger House, Everest, Flocafé, La Pasteria and Jackaroo chains, to Canada-based Recipe Unlimited. The transaction is subject to customary approvals and closing conditions. Frank Hennessey, chief executive of Recipe Unlimited, described Evergood as a market leader in Greece with a strong management team, and said the deal will accelerate Recipe’s global expansion. He expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with Evergood’s leadership to create growth opportunities both in Greece and internationally.

Why it matters
