Recovery and Resilience Plan disburses majority of allocated funds to beneficiaries
The Recovery and Resilience Plan has transferred most of its approved budget to recipients, primarily businesses, according to the latest monitoring report.
The latest monitoring document from the Mission Structure for Recovering Portugal shows that the Recovery and Resilience Plan has disbursed roughly seventy percent of the funds earmarked for the programme. Payments have been directed mainly to private companies, with public bodies, municipalities, and public-sector companies receiving the next largest portions. Educational institutions, both schools and higher-education establishments, as well as social-economy organisations, have also benefited.
In terms of project approvals, the total approved value exceeds twenty-five million euros, again led by the private sector, while public entities and local authorities rank second and third. The plan continues to aim at post-COVID recovery, investment stimulation and job creation across the country.
Why it matters
It shows how much of Portugal's EU-backed recovery funding has already reached key sectors, indicating progress toward economic revitalisation.
