Red Lobster revives Endless Shrimp promo with revamped operational model

Red Lobster has reintroduced its Endless Shrimp offer after a spring trial proved the new format satisfies diners and staff.

Red Lobster relaunched its Endless Shrimp promotion on Aug. 17, allowing patrons to mix five shrimp preparations and enjoy unlimited servings. The chain, which filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy two years ago, said the spring test demonstrated that the revamped model works for diners, restaurant crews and the business. Adjustments include tighter financial discipline, improved kitchen logistics, and flexible pricing by market.

Guest satisfaction scores outperformed previous promotions, and staff support reached historic highs. CEO Damola Adamolekun emphasized that guest demand alone was insufficient, prompting the operational overhaul. The company plans to keep the offer limited in time while continuing broader efforts to streamline operations and close underperforming sites.

Why it matters

The updated promotion shows how Red Lobster is trying to recover financially while meeting customer expectations.
