Red rain warning issued for Constanța and nearby towns
The National Meteorological Authority raised the alert to red for Constanța, Năvodari, Ovidiu and Lumina, warning heavy rain and lightning.
The Autoritatea Națională de Meteorologie upgraded the weather alert to red for Constanța and the nearby towns of Năvodari, Ovidiu and Lumina on Tuesday evening, following a prior orange warning. Forecasts indicate that accumulated rainfall could surpass 20-25 liters per square metre, while recent measurements show 50-55 liters per square metre in the most affected zones. Lightning strikes are also expected.
Two RO-Alert messages have been sent, advising the public to remain inside homes or shelters and avoid the streets. Several city districts have already experienced flooding due to the rapid downpour. The red alert remains in force until 19:00 on the same day.

Severe rain and flooding pose safety risks for residents and can disrupt daily life in Constanța County.
