Reese Witherspoon teams with Mediawan to reacquire Hello Sunshine

Reese Witherspoon has entered a deal with Mediawan Partners to regain control of Hello Sunshine, the media firm she founded, by buying it back from Candle Media. As part of the transaction, co-founder Seth Rodsky will become a board member together with Witherspoon and delegates from Mediawan. Witherspoon highlighted that Mediawan’s creator-first approach matches her goals for Hello Sunshine and noted the backing of Candle Media and Blackstone throughout the process.

Mediawan, which has recently added several high-profile Hollywood assets such as Chernin Entertainment, Plan B and See-Saw Films, sees the acquisition as a strategic fit in its expanding studio portfolio. The move marks a return of Hello Sunshine to its original leadership while positioning it within Mediawan’s growing global network.
