Reform's internal probe finds no wrongdoing by Orr and Jukes
Reform’s investigation concluded that neither Mr Orr nor Mr Jukes knowingly participated in an illegal donation scheme.
The party’s internal report determined that both Mr Orr and Mr Jukes believed the polling arrangements were lawful and that any donation would undergo party checks. Mr Orr halted a proposal when he doubted its legality, while Mr Jukes spoke beyond his knowledge but did not break the law. Reform announced it will sue the undercover activists behind the allegations. The statement was followed by a remark from Kemi Badenoch at a recent 1922-ConHome event praising Burnham’s stamina.
Why it matters
The findings clear senior party figures of illegal donation claims and signal a forthcoming lawsuit against the activists.
