The Republican National Committee’s midterm convention in Dallas featured a prominent video on the arena’s large screen that declared “God made Trump,” portraying the president as a caretaker chosen by a higher power. The production, lasting over two and a half minutes, included a narrated story beginning with a 1946 quote, images of a young Trump, and a viral clip of him pushing past the prime minister of Montenegro at a 2027 NATO gathering.
A short 2018 segment showed Melania Trump, who otherwise was absent from the event. The clip was uploaded by Trump to Truth Social the day before and was shown just before Karoline Leavitt’s first public speech since leaving the White House and Donald Trump Jr.’s remarks. Leavitt highlighted her role as a mother of young children while urging voters to support Republicans in the upcoming November election.
