The council confirmed it has not granted permission for work at that hour, noting that out-of-hours approvals are limited to 9 p.m.-2 a.m. on certain nights. Store Tec, the construction firm, refused to comment on whether it breached its permit, stating the issue is for McDonald’s. A McDonald’s spokesperson said investigations are underway and the company is working with its partners to ensure compliance.
Residents such as TJ and Danvre Clements say the noise—cranes, drills, and trucks—has been waking them almost every night, well beyond the five nights allowed. The fast-food outlet is slated to open in late 2026.
