Restored 1971 Eichler Mid-Century Home Listed for $2.75 Million in San Anselmo

A fully renovated 1971 Eichler house in San Anselmo’s Sleepy Hollow area is now on the market for $2.75 million.

A rare 1971 Eichler-built residence in the Sleepy Hollow neighborhood of San Anselmo has been listed for $2.75 million after a comprehensive renovation. The 2,537-square-foot, four-bedroom home now features floor-to-ceiling glass walls, a revamped kitchen with high-end appliances, an in-ground pool, solar panels and smart-power walls. The previous owners replaced the entire plumbing system, upgraded windows and doors, and added designer details such as vaulted wood ceilings and a two-sided fireplace.

Only fifteen Eichler homes exist in the area, contributing to the property’s desirability. Agent Kira Swaim of City Real Estate reports that the house is attracting young families and couples expecting children, drawn by its single-level layout and community amenities.

Why it matters

The sale highlights the growing demand and premium prices for restored mid-century modern homes in California.
