Retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra Takes Helm as First CEO of Ram Temple Trust

Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra, retired after leading the Western Air Command, was named the first chief executive officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, selected from a pool of 5,585 candidates. On his initial two-day visit to Ayodhya, Mishra familiarised himself with the temple’s daily functioning, meeting trustees and reviewing the trust’s accounting and administrative systems. He indicated that after a deeper understanding, he will formulate operational plans in coordination with the trust’s leadership.

The trust’s senior team now includes Govind Dev Giri as general secretary, Mahesh Bhagchandka as treasurer, and trustees Madan Mohan Pandey and Nirmala Yadav. This leadership change comes amid a broader administrative overhaul after allegations of donation misuse led to arrests and the resignation of former general secretary Champat Rai. Mishra expressed gratitude for being entrusted with the responsibility of serving the temple and its devotees.
