Revoked-license driver crashes Audi into multiple cars in Siófok
A 52-year-old man from Pest county, whose licence had been previously revoked, drove an Audi that collided with several parked cars in Siófok, sustaining only minor injuries.
On a Friday afternoon in Siófok, a white Audi driven by a 52-year-old man from Pest county barreled down Fő utca at high speed, failed to turn, and slammed into a column before ramming three vehicles—a Mazda, a Volkswagen and a Suzuki—parked in a company’s lot. The driver had previously had his licence revoked and, although the ban had expired, had not attended the mandatory refresher course, leaving him without a valid licence at the time of the crash.
He suffered only minor injuries and was taken to hospital; no other individuals were injured. The Somogy County Police Headquarters, via the Siófok Traffic Division, launched a traffic-violation investigation. Councilor Máté Gergely shared CCTV footage of the incident on Facebook and reminded the public of a deadly August crash on Batthyány utca involving a high-speed Mercedes-AMG. Authorities reported no suspicion of alcohol involvement.
