Revolut CEO says US market wins out, eyes dual New York-London listing

Revolut founder Nik Storonsky says the company prefers a U.S. listing and is exploring a dual listing in New York and London.

Revolut’s chief executive Nik Storonsky confirmed the fintech is considering a dual listing on both the New York and London exchanges, emphasizing a clear preference for the United States. In an interview with Les Echos, he highlighted the U.S. market’s broader base of institutional investors, hedge funds, and individual buyers, contrasting it with the smaller, less liquid UK market that also imposes a 0.5% stamp duty.

Storonsky warned that missing a U.S. listing would be a lost opportunity given the higher upside. The plan comes as Revolut readies an IPO that could push its valuation beyond $100 billion, while also criticizing the UK’s “extreme bureaucracy” and regulatory caution. Similar trends are seen with other UK-origin firms, such as Wise and AstraZeneca, which are shifting primary listings to the United States to tap deeper capital pools.

Why it matters

The decision could reshape where major fintechs raise capital, affecting investor access and UK market competitiveness.
