Right-wing influencer group clashes with Venice youth centre members, sparking violent brawl

A group of far-right influencers calling themselves “anti-degradation paladins” fought with young members of the Morion social centre in Venice, using fists and pepper spray.

In Venice’s Rialto district, a brawl broke out between roughly ten members of the Morion social centre and an equal number of far-right influencers who brand themselves as “anti-degradation paladins.” The clash began near the San Bortolo field and quickly moved toward San Salvador, with participants exchanging blows and deploying pepper spray that irritated eyes and throats. Prominent figures such as Dutch Travel Maniac and JollyTime were identified among the influencers, while local councilor Giovanni Fassioli was among the injured.

Bystanders, including tourists and shop owners, fled into nearby shops, some recording the incident on their phones. Police and the Digos are reviewing surveillance footage to identify all involved, and local politicians have condemned the violence as a sign of rising extremist intimidation.
