Ringg secures $10 million from Peak XV to expand voice AI services in India

Ringg, an Indian voice-AI provider that processes roughly 20 million call attempts monthly, disclosed a $10 million infusion from Peak XV Partners, raising its total Series A funding to $15.5 million after an earlier $5.5 million round. The startup began as the text-to-speech venture DesiVocal before shifting to full-stack voice agents for enterprises, counting fintech Cred and e-commerce players Flipkart, Groww and PolicyBazaar among its clients.

While it still supports high-volume, low-complexity tasks like outbound calling, Ringg is now targeting more sophisticated workflows such as healthcare appointment booking for Practo’s 1,200 clinics, abandoned-cart recovery, and KYC verification for fintech apps. Co-founder Siddharth Tripathi said the company is positioning itself as an outcome-focused platform and is expanding into chat, WhatsApp and browser-based support for customers like Shell.

Peak XV’s Rishen Kapoor noted Ringg’s proprietary speech models enable it to execute complex enterprise processes with consistent quality. The firm currently employs about 40 people, with a recent hiring surge for engineers and researchers to lower model-running costs.
