RM41.5 billion in new investments approved for Negeri Sembilan, creating nearly 15,000 jobs

The Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry and MIDA have approved RM41.5 billion in projects for Negeri Sembilan through June 2026, projected to generate 14,953 jobs.

The Malaysian Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry together with MIDA reported that RM41.5 billion in investment projects have been approved for Negeri Sembilan covering the period from 2023 to June 2026. Domestic investors contribute RM24.2 billion (58 %) while foreign investors add RM17.3 billion (42 %). Manufacturing attracts the largest share with RM22 billion, and the services sector follows with RM19.5 billion; the primary sector receives a minimal RM670,000.

Authorities expect the approved projects to create 14,953 jobs and have outlined policies to boost local employment, including encouraging firms to recruit and train the local workforce and to involve SMEs in supply chains. Collaboration with technical and vocational education institutions is also emphasized to align skills with industry needs. The integrated approach aims to ensure that the influx of capital translates into sustainable economic growth for the state.
