Road authority to launch multiple highway and road projects next year

ŘSD plans to finance a range of new highway and first-class road works in the upcoming year, backed by an increased budget that is 5.9 billion crowns higher than one outlet allocation. The agency will also maintain and repair the existing network, according to director Radek Mátl. Upcoming works feature the continuation of projects on the northern Prague Ring, the central-Bohemian D3, and the finishing of the D55 motorway, with construction on the last stretch of D48 at Bělotín set to begin within a week.

Two D35 sections between Svitavy and Mohelnice will be built as a public-private partnership, and several town bypasses—including those for Pelhřimov, Krnov, Bučovice, Znojmo, and Břeclav—are slated to start later this year. Additional upgrades on the Prague Ring, such as expanding the Třebonice interchange and extending other segments, are also in the pipeline. Currently, ŘSD is constructing 266.4 km of roads (156.8 km of motorways and 109.6 km of first-class roads) and has another 84.3 km in tender.
