Robert Pattinson and Oasis brothers headline Venice Film Festival premieres

At this year’s Venice Film Festival, Robert Pattinson and Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher made a joint appearance on the Lido for the premieres of two highly anticipated films. Pattinson leads “Primetime,” a dramatization of the “To Catch a Predator” series and its host Chris Hansen, directed by Lance Oppenheim and adapted from a 2006 Dateline one outlet's investigation. The film, slated for U.S. release on September 25, follows a journalist, a TV producer and a Hollywood hopeful caught in a crisis.

Meanwhile, the Gallagher brothers are supporting a documentary, “Don’t Look Back in Anger,” which chronicles their 2025 reunion tour, includes unseen rehearsal footage, and explores their long-standing feud. Co-directors Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace describe the film as a study of brotherly reconciliation and the enduring power of Oasis’s music. Disney will issue an IMAX version on September 11, with a later Disney+ streaming window. The simultaneous premieres underscore the festival’s blend of cinema and music celebrity this season.
