Rocket Money adds AI texting assistant to simplify personal finance management
Rocket Money introduced Rowan, an AI-driven text-message assistant that monitors accounts and sends proactive spending updates.
Rocket Money has launched Rowan, an artificial-intelligence assistant that lives in users' text-messaging apps and tracks their financial activity. By connecting to the existing Rocket Money platform, Rowan sends weekly spending overviews, flags low balances, and notifies users of new or price-increased subscriptions. Through simple replies, customers can ask for transaction explanations, request subscription cancellations, start bill negotiations, or set payment reminders.
The assistant does not deliver instant outcomes; requests are processed through Rocket Money’s established services and may involve additional fees. Access to Rowan requires the Premium+ subscription at $15 per month, while the regular Premium plan continues on a flexible pricing model. Rocket Money claims more than 10 million members use its core platform, giving Rowan a large base to operate from.
Why it matters
It offers a hands-free way to track spending and manage routine money tasks via text, potentially easing financial oversight for many users.
