Rockstar files DMCA takedowns after alleged GTA VI footage and map surface online

Online users have posted brief gameplay videos and a map image that appear to be from Grand Theft Auto VI, featuring a dual protagonist named Jason and a fictional region called Leonida that resembles a compact version of south Florida with a Miami‑like city and numerous islands. The clips show a plane flying over a virtual recreation of Florida, with Miami landmarks such as the Freedom Tower, Southeast Financial Center and Kaseya Center briefly visible.

Rockstar Games responded by filing DMCA takedown notices against the posts. The leaker claims the release is a protest against Rockstar’s decision to include only a code in physical copies of the game. A self‑described hacker using the handle CyberLeek uploaded the material ahead of a Netflix preview of the title.
