Roger Federer to appear at US Open exhibition but rules out full-time comeback

After a five-year hiatus from Grand Slam competition, Roger Federer will return to Arthur Ashe Stadium for a one-set singles exhibition against Andy Roddick and a doubles set alongside John McEnroe against Roddick and Andre Agassi. The former world No. 1 expressed both excitement and uncertainty about stepping onto the court again, noting his last singles match was a 2021 quarterfinal loss to Hubert Hurkacz. Federer made it clear he has no intention of resuming a full-time professional career, citing his age and recurring knee issues.
