Roku debuts affordable OLED TVs that undercut Sony, LG and Samsung
Roku has introduced its first OLED television line, the Pro Series, priced below competing mid-range models from Sony, LG and Samsung.
Roku entered the OLED market with the Pro Series, a mid-range television that undercuts the prices of Sony, LG and Samsung offerings. The 55- and 65-inch models include a 120 Hz display, four HDMI 2.1 connections and compatibility with Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Gamers benefit from auto low-latency mode, FreeSync Premium and variable refresh rate, while a backlit remote with a built-in finder button adds convenience.
The Pro Series is available now exclusively on Amazon, beginning at $999 for the 55-inch size. A premium variant, the Pro Series LX, will launch in October with a brighter panel, 144 Hz VRR and an anti-reflection polarizer, priced at $1,299 and $1,599 respectively. Both lines operate on Roku’s own smart-TV platform.
Why it matters
Roku's low-cost OLED TVs expand affordable high-end options for consumers and intensify competition in the TV market.
