Roku Secures Exclusive Sunday Night NWSL Broadcasts Through 2027

Roku and the National Women’s Soccer League have agreed that the Roku Sports Channel will be the sole home for Sunday night matches for the remainder of the 2026 season and the 2027 campaign.

Roku and the National Women’s Soccer League signed a contract making the Roku Sports Channel the exclusive outlet for a slate of Sunday night fixtures for the rest of the 2026 season and the full 2027 schedule. The first broadcast will feature Seattle Reign versus Houston Dash on August 30. Roku plans to stream eight matches in the closing weeks of this season and 25 Sunday games in the following year, adding to an existing NWSL Zone that already provides highlights and replays.

The agreement follows the league’s recent split with Victory+ over missed payments. Joe Franzetta, Roku’s head of sports, said the partnership will bring NWSL games to more than half of U.S. streaming households. Rachel Epstein, the league’s chief marketing officer, noted Roku’s accessibility as a key factor in expanding viewership for women’s soccer.

Why it matters

The deal broadens access to women's soccer by placing more games on a free streaming platform.
