Romain Bouvier files appeal after 19-year sentence for attempted murder
Romain Bouvier has lodged an appeal against his 19-year prison term for attempted murder of former rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu.
A Paris court convicted Romain Bouvier of attempted murder and imposed a 19-year custodial sentence for his role in the killing of former rugby player Federico Martin Aramburu, who died after being shot during a street fight. Bouvier submitted an appeal on Friday, eliminating the need to wait for the statutory deadline. His associate Loïk Le Priol, found guilty of murder as the shooter, has not yet announced an appeal and retains a short window to act.
Additional defendants included Lyson R, who received a three-year term with a suspended portion, and Antony S, who was given a three-year suspended sentence. The case involved numerous witnesses and surveillance footage, but the court did not find evidence of premeditation.
