Romanian central bank lifts euro, dollar, franc and pound rates

The Banca Națională a României announced its latest reference exchange rates for key foreign currencies. The euro increased to 5.2786 lei, up by 0.0068 lei from the previous session. The US dollar climbed to 4.6397 lei, a rise of 0.0108 lei. The Swiss franc was quoted at 5.5823 lei, gaining 0.0025 lei, while the British pound reached 6.1522 lei, up 0.0240 lei. In contrast, the rate for 100 Hungarian forints dropped to 1.4350 lei, down 0.0105 lei. The BNR notes that these reference rates are not necessarily the rates offered by banks or currency exchange offices.
