Romanian leu sees euro slip while dollar climbs in latest BNB rates

The National Bank of Romania published its newest reference exchange rates, indicating a marginal drop for the euro to 5.3501 lei. In contrast, the US dollar rose to 4.7801 lei, reflecting a modest upward movement. The Swiss franc was set at 5.7355 lei and the British pound at 6.3236 lei, both higher than before.
The Hungarian forint fell to 1.4587 lei. The bank notes that these figures are benchmarks and not necessarily identical to the rates offered by commercial banks or currency exchange offices. Recent sessions showed similar trends, with the euro and dollar moving in opposite directions and other major currencies gaining value.
