Roosters secure third straight NRLW grand final berth with win over Raiders

The Sydney Roosters defeated the Canberra Raiders 20-10 in the NRLW preliminary final, clinching a spot in the grand final for the third year running.

The Sydney Roosters' NRLW side booked their grand final place with a 20-10 win over the Canberra Raiders at Allianz Stadium, marking their third consecutive appearance after titles in 2024 and a loss in 2025. The Roosters opened scoring within two minutes, but the Raiders responded with a try from Krystal Blackwell, who played through a head clash and a jersey change. The match featured several injuries, including a shoulder knock to Jayme Fressard and a hair-pull incident involving captain Isabelle Kelly.

Despite missed opportunities and a controversial non-call on a potential equaliser, the Roosters held on, with Tarryn Aiken sealing the win with a try in the final minutes. The team remains unbeaten this year and will face the winner of the Gold Coast versus Brisbane clash on grand final day.
