Roxie Richner's past anti-white remarks resurface amid Michigan Senate campaign

Roxie Richner, serving as communications director for Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, authored multiple 2020 social-media posts that disparaged white women and white youth, labeling them as "policy failures" and accusing them of fabricating claims about police killings of Black people. In one tweet she urged daily conversations with family to dismantle white supremacy, while another warned that white women were creating false narratives to justify violence against Black communities.

Following the 2020 election, she posted further remarks praising Joe Biden’s purported win and criticizing white youth. Critics have highlighted these statements amid El-Sayed’s campaign, noting that the Michigan Democratic Convention saw reduced attendance and that various minority groups expressed discomfort attending. The Post Millennial reported that Richner has been affiliated with El-Sayed since at least his 2018 gubernatorial run, suggesting a long-standing connection.
