Royal family posts new photo celebrating Mountain Rescue Awareness Day after Kate's Three Peaks feat

Prince William and Princess Kate posted a family Instagram photo for Mountain Rescue Awareness Day, referencing her recent Three Peaks Challenge and gratitude to rescue volunteers.

On Mountain Rescue Awareness Day, Prince William and Princess Kate shared a new family photo on Instagram, expressing thanks to the volunteers who keep hikers safe in the UK’s rugged terrain. The post references Kate’s June Three Peaks Challenge, where she scaled Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in a single 24-hour period, raising money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The image shows the royal children - Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte and Prince George - gathered at the base of Snowdon beside their parents.

During the Ben Nevis leg, Kate met 11-year-old paraplegic Ted Haslam, whose father Pete helped push him up the mountain, and later hosted a tea party for him and other participants at Windsor Castle. She also made a private donation to Ted’s JustGiving campaign for the charity Molly Ollys. The caption praised the dedication, professionalism and compassion of mountain-rescue teams across the country.
