Royal physician found dead, husband held on murder suspicion

A 45-year-old doctor who treated members of the British royal family was discovered dead at home, with her husband detained on suspicion of murder.

Investigators are probing the fatal stabbing of a 45-year-old doctor who belonged to a pool of medical professionals attending the British royal family during their stays at Sandringham House. She was discovered in the shared home with a blunt-force wound to the right side of her head and an additional injury suggesting neck compression. The husband of the deceased has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is being held in pre-trial detention.

Children were reportedly in the house when the incident occurred, and the husband has not commented on the allegations. The case has been referred to the Crown Prosecution Service, and the royal family has been informed of the development.
