RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat visits New York Iskcon temple and joins hunger relief effort

On his current US tour, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat visited the Iskcon temple in New York, a site linked to the organization’s origins. He offered a garland to the founder Srila Prabhupada and inaugurated a food-distribution initiative that marks a milestone for the Zero Hunger New York campaign at the Bhakti Center. Bhagwat used the platform to discuss the role of Krishna consciousness in easing conflicts and societal fragmentation.
Anuttama Dasa, the temple’s communications minister and governing body commissioner, greeted Bhagwat and highlighted the significance of the event. The ceremony also celebrated the temple’s 60th anniversary. Bhagwat’s remarks underscored the spread of Sanatana Dharma worldwide, crediting Swami Prabhupada’s efforts.
