Run Fast Racing blends celebrity co-ownership with traditional horse racing

Run Fast Racing, launched in 2025, offers fans the chance to own shares in a stable of thoroughbreds alongside music stars, and its horse Listenupshance won a Grade 1 race.

Adam Kluger, known for his work in the music industry, founded Run Fast Racing to democratize thoroughbred ownership by linking fans with high-profile musicians. Subscribers join on a flexible basis and receive a proportional interest in each of the stable’s 19 horses, without long-term contracts. The concept echoes the 1969 group-ownership model pioneered by William (Cot) Campbell’s Dogwood Stables.

Since its 2025 launch, the company has retained 91% of its clientele and attracted celebrity partners including Lil Wayne, Rauw Alejandro and Lil Yachty. The stable’s recent triumph came when Listenupshance, bought for $30,000, won the Grade 1 Bing Crosby Stakes at Del Mar, earning $240,000 and qualifying for the Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Keeneland on October 31. Trainer Doug O’Neill hailed the initiative as a “godsend” for horse racing, emphasizing its potential to broaden the sport’s appeal. Kluger plans to expand the operation to New York and Kentucky in the near future.

Why it matters

It shows how celebrity partnerships can modernize traditional sports and attract new audiences.
