Russia intensifies strikes across Ukraine, causing multiple civilian casualties
Russian attacks hit several Ukrainian regions, killing at least one person and injuring dozens, while also targeting ships and logistics sites.
Russian forces continued a wave of attacks across Ukraine, striking Sumy where a residential district and civilian infrastructure were hit, resulting in one injury. In Kharkiv, a mayor-reported strike killed one person and wounded others, while nearby Isjum suffered eight injuries and widespread electricity cuts. The Saporischschja region saw a civilian killed in Kuschuhum and two additional injuries from a shopping-centre explosion.
In the Black Sea port of Odessa, a merchant ship flying the Antigua and Barbuda flag was hit, killing its Ukrainian captain and prompting the rescue of the remaining crew. Moscow's defence ministry also claimed strikes on logistics centres, drone-part warehouses and a ship carrying military goods destined for Odessa. All casualty figures and details come from Ukrainian or Russian authorities and cannot be independently verified.
