Russia plans Oleshky propaganda push and allocates billions for occupied regions

Ukraine's security service says Russia will stage disinformation videos in Oleshky, while Moscow's draft budget earmarks over 865 billion rubles for its occupied territories for the next three years.

Ukraine's Security Service disclosed that Russian units are preparing a series of staged interviews with Oleshky residents, aiming to accuse Ukrainian forces of air strikes and present the occupation in a positive light. The operation is slated for October and early November. Concurrently, Russia's draft federal budget for 2027-2029 allocates more than 865 billion rubles to a state program overseeing infrastructure restoration and socioeconomic development in the four occupied oblasts.

Kyiv's General Staff reported a wave of Ukrainian strikes on Russian drone launch sites, command posts and supply depots throughout the occupied territories during early October. Additional developments include demolition notices for apartments in Siverskodonetsk, documentation of 64 elderly political prisoners in Crimea, and the recent evacuation of a teenager and 25 children from Russian-held areas via a humanitarian corridor. These actions illustrate the tightening of Russian control and the ongoing military and humanitarian pressures in occupied Ukraine.
