Russia unveils TKB-1167 drone-defence system at Egypt’s International Aeronautical Salon
Russia will showcase the TKB-1167, a four-machine-gun anti-drone system, at the International Aeronautical Salon in El Alamein, Egypt, from September 8-10, 2026.
At the International Aeronautical Salon in El Alamein, Egypt, Russia plans to present the TKB-1167, a drone-countermeasure system equipped with four PKT 7.62 mm machine guns. According to Rostec, the system automatically detects and tracks targets, transmitting coordinates to the guns, but a human operator must authorize each shot. It is intended to engage small, low-flying unmanned aircraft that are difficult for conventional air-defence missiles.
The TKB-1167 can function as a stand-alone unit or integrate into a broader sensor network, sharing its detections with other platforms. Rostec positions it as an additional layer of protection alongside missile systems. The same event will display the export version Su-57E and the S-71M/K drones, targeting potential buyers in Africa and the Middle East.
