On Oct. 10, Russian forces launched a series of drone and missile attacks across Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, resulting in the death of a child and injuries to five others, among them two minors. The fatal strike occurred when a drone dropped a munition on the Pokrovske community in Nikopol district, according to regional authorities. Hospitalised victims include a 10-year-old girl, a 12-year-old boy, a 47-year-old man and two women aged 49 and 61.
Governor Oleksandr Hanzha said more than 30 attacks hit the region that day, damaging residential buildings, a gas station, an ambulance, private homes in Zelenodolsk, and agricultural machinery in the Mykolaiv community of Dnipro district. Nikopol, situated opposite the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, has endured frequent strikes throughout the war.
