Ryanair adds 22 new UK routes and expands Manchester services for winter season

Ryanair announced a comprehensive winter schedule featuring 22 new routes from UK airports, with Birmingham, Edinburgh, Liverpool and London receiving the most new connections, including services to Copenhagen, Rome Fiumicino, Marrakech, Tirana and Warsaw Modlin. Manchester will host an extra aircraft, enabling an additional route and higher frequencies on 26 other services to destinations such as Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, Madrid, Barcelona, Belfast, Venice, Porto, Prague and Krakow.

The carrier also listed new flights from Bristol to Knock and Warsaw Modlin, and from East Midlands to Budapest. CEO Michael O'Leary cautioned that rising oil prices and the Iran war will push fares upward for the upcoming summer season. He noted that the airline is hedged at about $80 per barrel and expects higher costs if prices stay near $100. The International Air Transport Association said jet-fuel prices have risen sharply, with the global average reaching $194.90 per barrel.
