Samajwadi Party nominates Reliance executive Dhanraj Nathwani for Rajya Sabha
The Samajwadi Party announced Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani, a Reliance Industries group president, as its surprise Rajya Sabha candidate alongside Ramgopal Yadav.
In Uttar Pradesh, the Samajwadi Party selected Dhanraj Parimal Nathwani, a senior Reliance Industries executive with close ties to the Ambani family, as a Rajya Sabha hopeful. He will run together with the party's secretary-general, Ramgopal Yadav. Both candidates are set to file their nomination papers before Samajwadi chief Akhilesh Yadav at 11 a.m. in Lucknow. Nathwani also holds a role in sports administration.
