Samsung widens lead in global DRAM market, holding 39.4% share in Q2
Samsung Electronics captured roughly 39.4% of worldwide DRAM revenue in Q2 2026, extending its lead as AI-driven demand accelerates.
During the April-June 2026 period, Samsung Electronics accounted for 39.4% of global DRAM revenue, strengthening its dominance amid a surge in artificial-intelligence applications. The company's DRAM revenue jumped 63.4% quarter-on-quarter to $60.98 billion, according to market research firm TrendForce. Samsung's market share rose from 38.5% in the January-March quarter.
South Korea's SK hynix slipped to a 24.9% share, down from 28.8%, with revenue of $38.59 billion. U.S.-based Micron Technology improved its share to 23.3% and posted $36 billion in revenue, a 65.5% increase. Overall, the DRAM market produced $154.73 billion in Q2, a 59.5% rise over the previous quarter, driven by higher shipments of various memory products.
