SAP CEO Christian Klein touts historic growth opportunity from AI-driven products

At a recent briefing, SAP chairman Christian Klein described the rollout of artificial-intelligence tools as the company’s biggest growth catalyst in its history. Building on the cloud transition initiated in earlier years, SAP intends to integrate AI agents into its enterprise resource planning, data analytics and operational workflows, creating what Klein calls an "autonomous enterprise." He emphasized that these agents will augment, not replace, human oversight, especially in critical areas.

The strategy follows a May customer conference in the United States where SAP unveiled a unified AI platform designed to streamline client operations and cut costs. Klein believes the move will differentiate SAP from rivals that rely solely on large language models from external AI firms.
