Sarah Palin urges prayers for partner Ron Duguay battling stage-four cancer

On Instagram, Sarah Palin posted a picture of Ron Duguay's hand clasped with hers from his hospital bed, accompanied by a plea for prayers. A second, black-and-white image showed Palin looking at Duguay with an overlaid quote about faith and perseverance. Duguay, a retired NHL star, was diagnosed with stage-four colon cancer over a year ago and the disease has now spread to his liver.

Although the couple has not publicly confirmed their relationship, rumors date back to 2022 and his family has publicly thanked Palin for her ongoing care. Duguay's daughter, Shay Thomas, explained that visits are limited due to his father's illness and Palin's responsibilities to her son, Trig. He is being treated at the City of Hope cancer center in Southern California, while Palin remains based in Alaska.
