Saudi Arabia ramps up $13.3 billion indoor entertainment complex program
Saudi Arabia is accelerating a $13.3 billion initiative to build indoor entertainment hubs, beginning with secondary cities such as Tabuk.
The sovereign-wealth-fund-backed developer SEVEN is creating multi-activity venues that combine cinemas, bowling, karting and rides. Its newest location in Tabuk pairs Hot Wheels go-karts with a Discovery adventure zone. The plan targets cooler, year-round tourist areas to keep Saudi families vacationing domestically, with at least three openings slated each year through 2028.
Why it matters
The rollout seeks to boost domestic tourism and diversify Saudi Arabia's economy by creating new leisure spending opportunities.
