Saudi defenses intercept missiles and drones as Houthis deny Medina drone claims

Early Saturday morning two explosions were heard in Riyadh, prompting civil defence to activate an early‑warning alert. The Saudi‑led coalition reported that a ballistic missile aimed at Riyadh was intercepted, and separate interceptions were made of missiles directed toward the western cities of Yanbu and Taif, with alerts for those cities lifted within minutes. In the Eastern Province, four drones were intercepted and destroyed.

The Houthi movement publicly denied launching any drones toward the holy city of Medina. Separately, Houthi forces attacked a coalition base at Al Mukalla airport using missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
