Saxon court blocks daughter of far-right activist Götz Kubitschek from teacher training
The Saxon Higher Administrative Court rejected the appeal of Götz Kubitschek’s daughter, denying her entry into the teacher-training program.
A daughter of far-right activist and AfD ideologue Götz Kubitschek was barred from entering the teacher-training service in Saxony. The Saxon Higher Administrative Court dismissed her complaint against the State Office for School and Education’s revocation of her admission to a Dresden gymnasium traineeship slated for August 2026. The revocation followed a constitutional-security assessment that revealed she regularly attended meetings of the Institute for State Politics, classified as extremist, between 2022 and 2025.
Although she claimed family reasons for her attendance, the court affirmed the office’s judgment that doubts about her constitutional loyalty were justified, citing Federal Administrative Court precedent that teachers must demonstrate a minimum level of loyalty. A prior urgent application to the Dresden Administrative Court had been rejected, and the latest ruling is final and unappealable.
