SB Energy, supported by SoftBank Group, intends to offer up to $500 million of new shares to Japanese investors as part of its public offering in the United States. The capital raised will be allocated to general operating costs for expanding data-centre facilities, power-generation assets and associated infrastructure. The prospectus did not reveal the overall size of the U.S. IPO, though SoftBank may target a $50 billion valuation for the firm.
