SBI announced in a stock-exchange filing that the United Front of Bank Unions (UFBU) has served formal strike notices for multiple days in September and a continuous strike beginning on October 26, 2026. The strike schedule covers September 11, September 28, 29 and 30, followed by an uninterrupted walkout from late October. UFBU represents seven constituent unions: the All India Bank Employees' Association, All India Bank Officers' Confederation, National Confederation of Bank Employees, All India Bank Officers' Association, Bank Employees Federation of India, Indian National Bank Employees Federation, and Indian National Bank Officers' Congress.
