Scalable Capital launches AI-driven trading service for European investors

German digital broker Scalable Capital has introduced “Agentic Investing,” letting customers use AI assistants like ChatGPT, Claude and Grok to analyze portfolios and place trades via prompts.

Scalable Capital, a Munich-based digital investment platform, has rolled out a new “Agentic Investing” offering that links customer accounts to AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Grok and Gemini via the Model Context Protocol. The integration enables investors to query an AI about portfolio performance, request identification of declining stocks and generate trade orders, though every action must be.

The bank, which oversees more than €60 billion in assets for over a million users across Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands, says the move levels the playing field by putting sophisticated analytics in users’ pockets. A June study by Elm Wealth found Claude beat human players in 76 % of simulated trading sessions, while ChatGPT succeeded in 63 %, but both models tended to over-size positions relative to risk.

Scalable emphasizes that AI cannot withdraw funds or make payments autonomously and that the connection follows the same strong authentication protocols as its other services. The company notes the rollout may progress at different speeds for various client segments, but it expects strong interest among a sizable group of investors.

Why it matters

It brings AI-powered investment advice directly to retail investors, potentially reshaping how everyday people manage their portfolios.
