Scheinherr says coalition with Pirates would reduce conflicts in Prague mayoral race
Adam Scheinherr argues that joining forces with the Pirates would create a calmer governing coalition in Prague.
In a recent interview, Adam Scheinherr explained that a coalition with the Pirates would likely lead to fewer conflicts within Prague’s future governing alliance. He highlighted his party’s notable district results, securing victories in Prague 1, 5, 7 and 8, and making significant inroads in traditionally ODS-dominated districts like Prague 2, 4 and 6. Scheinherr noted that the campaign slogan “my mayor” could be interpreted as ambitious, yet he does not take the outcome personally.
Emphasizing his expertise in transport, he described it as one of the city’s most pressing challenges and praised the achievements of his expert team while serving as deputy mayor. He concluded that continued focus on transport and competent leadership will drive further improvements for Prague residents.
Why it matters
The coalition choice will shape Prague's governance and affect key issues like transport policy.
