School founder and wife brutally murdered on campus in Uttar Pradesh

Police investigations reveal that Mukesh Singh, a 45-year-old principal of Composite School in Khanuhat, and his 42-year-old wife Vinita Singh were murdered on the campus of Manraji Shikshan Sansthan, a private school they founded in Sultanpur district. The couple had been sleeping on the school grounds when a group of unknown assailants entered and attacked them with sharp-edged weapons, including an axe, a spade and a knife seized from the scene.

Vinita Singh was killed inside a room, while Mukesh Singh tried to escape and was intercepted and killed roughly 150 metres away. Authorities have not yet identified the attackers, the number involved, or the motive for the double homicide. Mukesh began his career as a shiksha mitra before becoming an assistant teacher in 2009 and later leading the primary teachers’ association in Motigarpur.

Vinita had previously contested a district panchayat election and managed an intermediate college. Their 20-year-old son, Abhyuday, studies at Delhi University. Police teams, led by Circle Officer Vinay Gautam, continue to investigate the case.
