School van fire in Murree injures eleven children
A school van in Murree caught fire after leaving the road, leaving eleven children with injuries, nine of whom suffered burns.
On Tuesday, a school van traveling near the Bara Hotar Link Road in Murree left the roadway and burst into flames, according to Rescue 1122. The vehicle, a Suzuki Bolan, was carrying eleven children between four and 14 years old. Rescue teams quickly arrived and removed the passengers, who were all safely taken out of the burning vehicle.
Nine of the children suffered burns ranging from minor to more serious, while two reported no injuries. This event follows earlier incidents this year involving school vans catching fire in Karachi and a separate accident in Okara that resulted in a fatality. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
